1996 – 2026

For 30 years, Far Southeast Family Strengthening Collaborative (FSFSC) has stood alongside children, youth, families, and neighbors in Far Southeast Washington, DC. What began as a shared vision has grown into a trusted, community-anchored organization dedicated to strengthening families and expanding opportunity.

Our Story

Founded in 1996, FSFSC was created to respond to the needs and strengths of families in Ward 8 and Far Southeast DC. From the beginning, our work has been rooted in the belief that lasting change happens when communities are supported, listened to, and resourced.

Over three decades, FSFSC has evolved alongside the community—adapting to new challenges, deepening partnerships, and remaining focused on what matters most: helping families thrive.
