Meeting Families Where They Are.

Every family’s story is different—but every family deserves support. FSFSC’s programs provide wrap-around care that meets immediate needs while building long-term stability.

Our work centers on six priorities from our 2025–2030 Strategic Plan: Family Stability, Economic Mobility, Health & Wellness, Community Engagement, Advocacy, and Operational Excellence.

Family Support Services

Our family support programs provide the resources, guidance, and case management that families need to stabilize, grow, and thrive.

Child Well-Being

Our Child Well-Being program aims to enhance children’s physical, mental, emotional, and social health through supportive environments. We focus on strengthening families’ protective factors and fostering resilience, which can lead to preventing and minimizing abuse and neglect.

Family Rehousing & Stabilization Program (FRSP)

In partnership with the D.C. Department of Human Services (DHS), FRSP provides short-term rental assistance and case management to families experiencing housing instability — connecting them to the resources they need to regain stability and maintain safe, permanent housing.

Nurturing Parenting Program (NPP)

This evidence-based, ten-week course equips parents and caregivers with practical tools and strategies for effective child-rearing — fostering healthier relationships and stronger family bonds.

Quenching the Father Thirst (QFT)

QFT addresses the unique challenges fathers face, strengthening parenting skills, deepening connections with their children, and equipping dads with the tools to build healthier, more supportive relationships — both at home and in the community.

Community Programs

Our community programs are designed to build skills, expand opportunities, and keep Ward 8 residents connected to one another and to the resources they need.

Family Success Centers

FSFSC operates two Family Success Centers in Ward 8 as part of CFSA’s Families First DC initiative — the District’s family-strengthening vision designed to support communities east of the Anacostia River.
