Program Description
The mission of Far Southeast Family Strengthening Collaborative (FSFSC)
is to serve as a catalyst in the Southeast Community to create a healthy socioeconomic
environment through which every child and family has an opportunity to achieve
their maximum potential and lead a productive life. Pursuant to this mission,
FSFSC has created a Community Service Delivery Network, which is comprised
of community-based and faith-based service providers across Ward 8. Our services
are intended to prevent out of home placements and promote family stabilization.
These services include but are not limited to: information and referral, community
case management, supportive services, facilitated family meetings, housing
assistance, crisis intervention, advocacy, and budget management. The current
family support centers are:
- Advocates for Justice in Education
- Covenant Baptist Church
- Emmanuel Baptist Church
- Matthews Memorial Baptist Church
- Sasha Bruce Youth Works
