Community Engagement is the process of working collaboratively with and through groups of people
affiliated by geographic proximity, special interest or similar situations to address issues affecting the
wellbeing of those people.
The Community Engagement Team serves as the Advertising/Marketing Group who promotes the
services of the Collaborative by educating residents on how to access family strengthening services,
conducting community meetings on pressing community issues, and systemically supporting
neighborhood committees to become voices for their communities.
Capacity Building/Collaborating Agent in this capacity we collaborate with service providers to ensure
that there is effective coordination of programs, events and activities for the residents in ward 8. We
work with these programs by assisting with identifying grant opportunities and resources to help build
systems of care.
